Asian debut of McLaren’s new Grand Tourer, the McLaren GT

The all new McLaren GT made its Asian premiere on 28 May 2019 at the luxurious Clifford Pier, The Fullerton Bay Hotel. The cocktail evening was attended by more than 200 McLaren owners and friends of McLaren who gathered to witness what defines the McLaren GT – creating new rules in accordance with the concept of grand touring. Light weight and innovatively designed, the McLaren GT is fitted with a carbon fibre monocoque and shares the DNA of a limited production McLaren Speedtail. What amazes most about this ground-breaking model is its large stowage capacity of 570 litres that allows room for bags as well as golf clubs.

In re-imagining the spirit of traditional Grand Touring – long-distance driving in comfort, at higher speeds and with room for luggage – McLaren has also redefined the modern GT ownership experience with a car that is lighter, faster and more engaging than existing products in the segment, with greater space, comfort and usability.

Ms Renee Chua, Managing Director, McLaren Singapore said, “McLaren Singapore is extremely privileged and excited about the new Mclaren GT making its Asia debut in Singapore. This new addition will be positioned alongside the established Sports, Super and Ultimate Series families. The McLaren GT has created new rules to the concept of grand touring. We are confident that the new McLaren GT will appeal to the bold and confident individuals, who refuse to be bound by convention.”

McLaren Singapore is privileged to be the first in Asia to present the new McLaren GT to its customers.
