Celebrating 30 Years Of Passion And Giving Back To Society
As part of Mr. Karsono Kwee and Porsche’s continuous bid to fulfil the tenets of corporate social responsibility, a series of three charitable contributions were made during the evening’s celebrations.
Firstly, proceeds from the eBay auction of a 2014 Porsche 919 Hybrid replica, provided by Porsche Asia Pacific, were donated in the form of a US$106,100 (S$145,310) cheque to the charity organisation Singapore SportCares. Team SportCares links up those in need with passionate volunteers and community-spirited donors through sports programmes and life-skills workshops.
The second charitable contribution was a cheque for S$100,000 presented to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, a charity driven by a mission to reach out to every child in need and provide them with the resources to do well in school and beyond.
Finally, the third and largest of the evening’s contributions went to the West Coast Citizens’ Consultative Committee (CCC), where Mr. Karsono Kwee has been serving as a Patron for more than five years. These three charitable contributions will certainly go a long way in helping the three organisations fulfil their missions and continue the good work they do in society.
