The MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition in MINI Yours Enigmatic Black

Singapore. MINI Asia and Eurokars Habitat today introduced the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition, the newest limited special edition MINI. Now available in Singapore exclusively in the Cooper S variant, the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition also marks the debut of the new infotainment system on the latest generation of the MINI Clubman.

Exclusive Jermyn Edition herringbone design bonnet stripe

The MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition is available in three distinct shades: MINI Yours Enigmatic Black, Pepper White, and Rooftop Grey. The unique Herringbone decal (in Melting Silver or Matt Black) in a single thick racing stripe on the bonnet lends a dapper touch to the polish of the MINI Clubman. In addition, those with a keen eye would appreciate how the stripe stretches across the bonnet into the radiator grille to perfectly align the red ‘S’ badge that is the hallmark of the Cooper S variant. This decal is replicated on the sides of the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition, sitting level with the lower frame of the doors.

Other unique touches on the exterior of the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition include a special emblem on the C-pillar of the car, where the herringbone motif is referenced as a backdrop for the Jermyn lettering. The front door sill plates have the herringbone design etched into them, and upon opening the doors, the ‘JERMYN EDITION’ text is illuminated. Another standout feature on the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition is the 18-inch MINI Yours British Spoke 2-tone wheels with runflat tyres where the Union Jack design appears on the hub caps. This whimsically British touch pairs nicely with the LED rear lights featuring an abstracted pattern of the Union Jack flag.

Standard interior equipment includes five full-sized seats clad in the MINI Yours Leather Lounge in Carbon Black. The Jermyn Edition decal is displayed on the dashboard trim elements on the passenger side, with the decal colour matching that on the exterior.

MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition with 18″ MINI Yours British Spoke 2-tone wheels

The operating system on the MINI Clubman has been upgraded to the latest generation. It sports the new graphics display and further developed options for selecting and controlling vehicle functions, audio system, hands-free telephone system, navigation, and apps. The screen display with symbols and white text on new colour backgrounds has a particularly high-grade and modern look. The desired menu items are displayed as “live widgets” and can be called up by swiping the touchscreen, whereupon they are shown in enlarged form in the centre of the display.

There is a choice of two colour schemes for the central instrument display and the digital cockpit display, which can be called up in the control system menu. In “Lounge” mode, the content displayed is in a relaxing colour setting ranging between turquoise and petrol blue. If “Sport” mode is active, the screen backgrounds are red and anthracite. The colour scheme is also linked to the various MINI Driving Modes. In the MID and GREEN modes, the “lounge” style screen display is then called up, and when driving in “SPORT” mode, the corresponding colour scheme of the same name is also activated. Optionally, a uniform colour scheme for all MINI Driving Modes can be set in the control system menu.

The MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition is equipped with a 4G SIM card – this is used for the Intelligent Emergency Call with automatic detection of vehicle location and accident severity function, as well as MINI Teleservices. The Connected Navigation package on the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition allows drivers to enjoy the MINI navigation system which includes Real Time Traffic Information, ensuring that they are kept on the best possible route. Wireless Apple CarPlay is also available for drivers to stay plugged in on the go, and wireless charging ensures that their phone is kept charged as well. For additional ease of use, the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition is fitted with the keyless Comfort Access system, allowing the driver to enjoy the convenience of unlocking the doors and boot plus starting the engine without having to reach for his key in his pocket or bag.

Unique union jack rear lights on the MINI Clubman

The MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition is exclusively available in the Cooper S variant. The MINI TwinPower Turbo technology is made up of a turbocharging unit integrated into the exhaust manifold, direct petrol injection, and variable valve timing. Thanks to consistently optimised emission control technology, which includes a petrol engine particulate filter, the MINI Clubman Jermyn Edition complies with the Euro 6d emission standard. Its four-cylinder 1,998cc petrol engine puts out a sprightly 178 hp, allowing the car to reach 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. A 7-speed Steptronic sports transmission with double clutch is fitted as standard.

The Driving Assistant package is also available as standard equipment. This package incorporates a camera-based system that recognises and reports speed limits, thereby increasing safety on the road. The collision warning and pedestrian warning systems with city braking function make it easier to avoid dangerous situations, particularly in city traffic. The Parking Assistant offers maximum comfort in searching for and using parking spaces, while the reversing camera gives drivers a better view when manoeuvring.

Other innovations in the Driving Assistant package include the camera-based speed and distance control – these help the driver keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front, and the speed limit information system detects and displays speed limits as they apply to the current section of road. This system is supplemented by the no passing display and traffic sign memory functions. The digital headlight assist function contributes to optimum visual conditions when driving at night. Oncoming traffic and preceding vehicles are registered by a camera, while automatic switching to dimmed headlights avoids causing a nuisance for other drivers.

The new MINI App offers an advanced user experience that is completely oriented towards a digital lifestyle. It allows drivers to contact their MINI at any time, for example to call up information on the car’s status or to prepare the next excursion. The MINI App, which can currently be downloaded free of charge from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, serves as a universal interface between the smartphone or other personal devices and the car.

• Destinations are easy to find via the integrated search function and can be sent directly from the app to the vehicle’s navigation system. It is also possible to transmit destinations from third-party apps. The map shows the current traffic situation, filling stations and charging stations, as well as parking options.
• The MINI App offers easy access to the BMW Group ecosystem. It can be used to contact Eurokars Habitat directly, and customers can keep an eye on their vehicle’s service requirements in the app. MINI Roadside Assistance can also be contacted via the app if there are any issues with the vehicle.
