The new Porsche Macan meets Singapore’s iconic street art

SINGAPORE, 12 July 2019 – The new Macan offers drivers a thrilling alternative to express their personality and creativity through a wide range of customisation possibilities, including exterior colour options, such as the vibrant Miami Blue, Mamba Green or Carmine Red. Since its local debut in January, the new Macan has continuously delighted the young and young-at-heart with its thrilling ride and sporty functionality that combine fun driving and utility.

In Mamba Green and Miami Blue respectively, the new Macan and Macan S struck striking silhouettes amid various street art locations including Spottiswoode Park Road, home to the famed Provision Shop Mural that pays homage to Singapore’s traditional provision shops; and Belilios Lane, where the Traditional Trades of Little India mural tells of merchants and traders who settled into the area years ago. The electrifying colours of the two Macans against these vibrant backdrops produced visually appealing and, complementary images that reinforce the Macan’s principle of writing its own adventure stories.

These murals take us out of the ordinary and drive us to choose thrilling – as Macan does.”

A new standard in performance and handling
The new Macan has also been significantly enhanced in terms of design, comfort and driving dynamics, allowing it to be the only true sports car model in the compact SUV segment. It comes with an efficient 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with improved combustion chamber geometry. It delivers 252 hp of power, accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package and reaches a top speed of 227 km/h, The new Macan S, when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package, can achieve 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds, and a top speed of 254 km/h.

Redefining interior and exterior design
The unique body shape of the new Macan pays tribute to the iconic 911 sports car as well as the technological masterpiece, the 918. Its new front and rear design, including the new headlights and all-round tail light panel, give it an even sportier and more modern appearance. The interior of the new Macan features the new 10.9-inch touchscreen display of the Porsche Communication Management in full-HD resolution, providing drivers with a modern convenience at their fingertips.

Since its debut in 2014, the Macan has been a popular model in locally and globally, with over 1,400 delivered in Singapore to date.
