Purpose
The Workshop Manager oversees the work activities of the workshop staff, ensuring adherence to deadlines and productivity levels, as well as maintaining quality standards. The manager contributes to achieving the department's targeted profit, maintains customer satisfaction standards, and controls consumable expenses.
Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee and ensure the quality of the repair meets the manufacturer’s standard.
Ensure On-time deliver for all repair jobs.
To conduct and arrange necessary training for respective technicians to meet the quality standard.
Ensure the workshop’s operations are compliant with all relevant government regulations.
Overseeing and monitoring workshop cleanliness and tidiness.
Control and monitoring the quality & quantity of consumables stock to minimize and eliminate waste on consumables.
Participate in ad-hoc projects or programs to support or meet principal requirements.
Oversee preventative maintenance and repair work on all workshop plant and equipment.
Identify problems, develop and introduce systems and procedures to streamline efficiencies.
Create/distribute periodical reports to management on repair status and Bodyshop performance indicators.
Handle customer complaints and provide resolutions in a timely manner.
Requirements
Diploma holder in above discipline or its equivalent with at least 5 years in the operations environment preferably form automotive industry.
Able to face challenges and meet customer's expectation on service and quality.
Possess excellent leadership, analytical, planning, execution, problem solving and communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills and relates well to all levels of staff, suppliers and customers.
Strong written and presentation skills, an eye for details, bilingual, creative and IT savvy will be advantageous.
Valid Class 3 driving license.
Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents are preferred.
