The MINI Story at BMW World 2018

Heritage and Personalisation took centre stage at The MINI Story, BMW World 2018 which took place on 25 and 26 August at Suntec Convention Centre. Visitors explored all corners of MINI’s exhibit with enthusiasm, beginning their tour at the Creative Solutions section with the iconic Mini Classic and The New MINI Cooper 3 Door which were on display. A timeline at MINI Story paid tribute to MINI’s historical events, while the MINI In Design section recreated Sir Alec Issigonis’s yesteryear design studio where he sketched MINI’s original design which was the genesis of the engineering marvel of the Classic MINI.

At the Personalities section, the original Paul Smith classic MINI was in the limelight. Decorated in 86 stripes and 28 vibrant colors; it was an absolute head-turner throughout the entire event. Over at the Makers area, visitors learned first-hand about how racer Mr. John Cooper propelled MINI to its current legendary racing car status. They were also treated to a showcase of the heart racing MINI John Cooper Works Clubman and the latest MINI John Cooper Works Lifestyle Collection.

A nod to MINI’s automotive individuality spirit – leather craft workshops at the personalisation area gave the visitors the opportunity to create their very own name card holders and emboss their initials on luggage leather tags. They also came up close with the latest MINI Yours Customised range of 3D printed car accessories which brought customisation to a whole new level.
