Executive Chairman’s Profile

Profile of Mr. Karsono Kwee, Executive Chairman (PBM)

Mr. Karsono Kwee, PBM, is the Executive Chairman of Eurokars Group, a name synonymous with high-end luxury premium brand cars in Singapore. Mr. Kwee has garnered almost 40 years of experience in the automotive business.

Under his stewardship, Eurokars Group’s business has expanded significantly since its establishment in 1985. In Singapore, the Group now represents iconic marques, like Rolls-Royce, MINI, Mazda, McLaren, MG, Pagani, BMW and BMW M, and Porsche. In Indonesia, it represents Porsche, Rolls-Royce, BMW and BMW M, Mazda, Maserati, Ferrari, Pagani, Bentley, MINI and McLaren. Within the region, the Group owns a Mazda dealership in Perth, Australia, and operates Rolls-Royce dealerships in China’s Nanning, Shanghai Pudong and Shenzhen.

Eurokars Group is today a well-established motoring entity, having grown substantially over the years to become a multi-franchise automotive dealership group. With a comprehensive in-house suite of services, including Pre-Owned, Body and Paint, Leasing, as well as Automotive Finance and Insurance services, Eurokars Group is dedicated to providing holistic end-to-end care for all car needs — assuring customers of exceptional customer service, reliable sales and aftersales support, and state-of-the-art workmanship — to enhance one's ownership journey.

To continue to deliver on its brand promise and cater to its expansion, Eurokars Group has opened an integrated and one-stop aftersales facility. This S$70 million and 430,000 square feet facility in Tanjong Penjuru in the Western part of Singapore houses its aftersales operations and serves as a one-stop hub for repairs and maintenance, pre-delivery inspection, body repair and spray painting, as well as warehousing of all the brands under the Group.

As a beacon of luxury in the automotive world, on 15 December 2024, Eurokars Group shifted its global headquarters to 11 Kung Chong Road, strategically located in the main automotive belt of Singapore. The Eurokars Centre is a multifaceted masterpiece, encompassing Rolls-Royce and BMW showrooms, service receptions and workshops, and a workshop for McLaren and Pagani, alongside Management and Administrative offices. The S$106 million property is sized at about 40,000 square feet with a total built-up area of about 100,000 square feet.

The prominent industry accolades that both Eurokars Group and Mr. Kwee have been conferred are further testament to the Group’s notable success.

In 2004, Eurokars Group first won the Enterprise 50 award. It was recognised again in 2011 when it won second runner-up position for the same award. As an intrepid entrepreneur, Mr. Kwee was recognised as Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006 by the Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) for epitomising the true meaning of entrepreneurship. In 2012, the Group was also accorded the Business Superbrands status, a prestigious recognition of its achievements.

Mr. Kwee was conferred the Honorary Distinguished Business Leader Award in 2015 at the Promising SME 500 Medallion Presentation Ceremony Gala Night organised by the Small and Medium Business Association (SMBA). He also received the Singapore Tatler Business Leader award for his leadership position at the Singapore Tatler Awards 2015 where individuals were recognised in their respective fields.

Even as Eurokars Group celebrates its success in doing business, it believes in making a positive impact on the communities that it serves and operates in, and in doing its part to give back to society. The Group has made significant contributions to various charities over the years. For its efforts in building social capital and contributing to the community, Eurokars Group received the Community Partnership Excellence Award of the People’s Association Community Spirit Awards 2016.

Mr. Kwee was conferred the Public Service Medal (PBM) by Her Excellency, the President of the Republic of Singapore, Madam Halimah Yacob as part of the 2017 National Day Awards.

His spirit of giving back to the society was further acknowledged in 2022 with a second prestigious PBM, specifically the PBM (COVID-19), an exemplification of Eurokars Group’s and Mr. Kwee’s consistent contributions. This exceptional honour was presented by Mr. Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development and Minister-in-Charge of Social Integration and Adviser to West Coast GRC GROs, for the donation of an ambulance equipped with life-saving equipment and the provision of essential supplies to the West Coast community during the pandemic.
