WORLD PREMIERE, MAZDA TAKES THE LEAD AS THE OFFICIAL CAR AT THE 2022 INDONESIA INTERNATIONAL MARATHON

PT Eurokars Motor Indonesia (EMI), the ATPM for Mazda in Indonesia, officially supports Indonesia’s first international marathon running competition held in Bali on the 26th of June 2022. Featuring 10 of Mazda’s Line-up, Mazda set a record as the first Official Car for the Indonesia International Marathon (IIM), a world-class competition that refers to the standards of The Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) – World Athletics.

Held as part of the annual agenda of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), the Indonesia International Marathon invites more than 3500 elite athletes from abroad to participate in various competitions ranging from 5k, 10k, and half-marathon to the marathon. Ricky Thio, Managing Director of PT EMI, at the Press Conference, expressed his pleasure to be able to support and take part in the revival of an offline event since the pandemic, one of which is through this Indonesia International Marathon event. Attending the Press Conference were Marciano Norman (Chairman of Central KONI), Made Cakra Adi (Chairman of IIM Committee), Manabu Tanaka (Technical Advisor & Technical Director of IIM), and Riena Tambunan (Race Director of IIM).

Officially becoming the “Timing Car” for the Indonesia International Marathon, The New CX-5 Kuro Edition and MX-5 look stunning in Mazda’s flagship color, Soul Red Crystal. These two vehicles take pole position with the athletes in the starting line, driving ahead to ensure safety and clearance on the road. “A love of outdoor activities and mobility is a value that Mazda and our athletes share today. We want Mazda to be the vehicle of choice for runners across the country and even abroad, and we can’t wait for the photos of the athletes with our cars showing their travel time in this marathon,” Ricky added.
