Introducing The New Mazda 6 – The Executives’ Car Of Choice

Following the introduction of the highly-anticipated New Mazda 6 on 4 August 2018, the Mazda showrooms at both Leng Kee Road and Ubi Close were abuzz with activity as driving enthusiasts and discerning car buyers gathered at the showrooms, eager to view the New Mazda 6 up close.

The crowd was treated to handcrafted coffee and bite-size delicacies, and many congregated around the New Mazda 6 which is renowned for being one of the sportiest executive saloons in this segment. The New Mazda 6 is even sportier with a lower centre of gravity and wider stance compared to its predecessor. It also comes with a newly designed set of straight spokes rim in 17 or 19 inches diameter options.

Mr Mitsuru Wakiie, Program Manager in charge of developing the New Mazda 6 and Mr Susumu Niinai, General Manager of Mazda’s ASEAN Business Office, graced the Ubi showroom during the launch weekend, and gave exclusive interviews to top-tier local journalists on the key design and technological attributes of the New Mazda 6.

The new Mazda 6 offers two engine options, powered by either a

– 2.0 litre four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine with an output of 163hp and 213Nm or

– 2.5 litre four-cylinder SKYACTIV-G engine with an output of 192hp and 258Nm.

Fuel economy for the 2.0 litre engine is at 6.8L/100km, while the bigger capacity 2.5 litre engine is in the range of (7.1 to 7.2)L/100km.
